I’LL BE GOOD

I'll Be Good is an amazing vocal track with an infectious groove and fee-good vibe, and it was Benajmin Koll's very first single back in 2016. The extended mix is a treat for true house music lovers. As the track progresses, you can't help but get lost in the soulful guitars and Benjamin's deep and strong vocals. You also can't help but notice the amazing harmonies and the incredible string and piano arrangement that shows why house music still rocks dancefloors worldwide. Jose Spinnin Cortes is responsible for the reworking of the song. Harsh sounding electro baselines and wobbly leads create a unique atmosphere that, combined with Benjamin's deep vocals, has a somehow sinister yet sexy feel, making it perfect for peak time and of course the big rooms. A total surprise.

THE MUSIC VIDEOS

Benjamin Koll

I’LL BE GOOD

I didn't want to be in my first music video, I didn't even want to be on the cover! That's why I show my back and my belly on both covers. I wasn't sure if my image would help my music. I wanted to let the music speak for itself, but still visually convey that this project is about and for the gay bear community. I had been friends with Jeremy Morse on Facebook for a while when, in 2016, as I was thinking about what to do for the video, Jeremy posted a video on his profile one Friday afternoon. He had finished a long week at work and for the first time in a while his back wasn't hurting. He was on a trip and decided to strip down from his hotel room and dance in his underwear. I related to this because I had been suffering from back pain for a while and something lit up in my mind. The next day I wrote to him and asked him if he would be interested in dancing on the video. He told me that he had danced professionally when he was younger, but thought those days were far behind him, but that he'd do it anyway. Luckily for me, both he and Jose had plans to attend Bear Pride in Chicago, so I asked Jose to shoot the video, which he did, with the help of Dennis Murray and Dennis Dippary of Macho Events, on a sunny morning, guerrilla style, at various locations around the city. Three weeks later, Jeremy shot another video from his pool, and this time it was retweeted by Justin Timberlake, making him an overnight Internet sensation...just in time for the release of I'll Be Good.

JOSE SPINNIN CORTES SUBWOOFER REMIX

I’LL BE GOOD

"Sometimes along the way, while you are on tour, you discover something that really makes a connection with your audience. This happened to me with this private remix I did of Benjamin Koll's I'll Be Good. It came about naturally, as something I needed for my tribal and progressive sessions, and as a way to surprise the audience with a different remix than the one I did for the first release.”

These are the words of Jose Spinnin Cortes describing this new version of the successful first solo single by Benjamin Koll. This remix was released on July 29 of 2016, just 11 days before the release of 2mekiss and it’s one of Ben’s more streamed songs.

The music video captures selected moments of Jeremy Morse dancing at the “Macho” event during Gay Bear Pride in Chicago on 2016 (the night after filming the album version video) and it was also shot by Jose Spinnin Cortes, and edited by Benjamin Koll.
